AUDIOSLAVE: 'Out Of Exile' Cover Art Posted Online
April 22, 2005The cover artwork for AUDIOSLAVE's upcoming sophomore album, "Out of Exile", has been posted online at Amazon.com.
"Out of Exile" is scheduled for release on May 24. It's the follow-up to the group's self-titled, double-platinum 2002 debut.
AUDIOSLAVE — who feature in their ranks former SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell and three members from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE — have posted the video for "Be Yourself", the first single from "Out of Exile", at the group's official web site. Check it out: Windows Media, Real Media. The clip was shot in an old hotel in downtown Los Angeles, and Cornell told Launch Radio Networks the band was going for quality rather than quantity with its production. "We didn't spend money on this video," he said. "We just hired somebody that knows how to shoot beautifully, and I only saw what was going on on the monitors when we were filming and it was incredible. There's long shots on it where it was filmic and sort of like Woodstock in a sense. The film from Woodstock, I think, looks incredible. And the long edits look incredible and you're excited and hopefully we got that."
In other news, AUDIOSLAVE are auctioning off ticket packages through eBay. Each package contains two tickets to one of the dates on the current tour and a signed copy of AUDIOSLAVE's debut CD. The first round of bidding ends tonight at 6:00 p.m., while the second round ends on May 2 at the same time. Proceeds from the auction go to Amnesty International and Axis of Justice.
